The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-AW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It combines a power section and control electronics to regulate servo and induction motors in automated production cells, conveyors, and material-handling stations. The device coordinates torque, speed, and position loops so that machine axes follow command profiles precisely and repeatably within a centralized automation architecture. This arrangement lets one compact unit handle motor power conversion and closed-loop motion control in the same housing.
The controller communicates with higher-level PLCs through a MultiEthernet port that supports several real-time Ethernet protocols without additional hardware. Its control section is supplied in the BASIC configuration, which provides standard motion functions for typical axis control tasks. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling that draws cabinet air through an integrated blower to remove heat from the power stage. The unit delivers a device peak current of 13 A, allowing short-term torque surges during acceleration or braking. For protection, it carries an IP20 enclosure rating, which provides finger-safe access and requires installation inside a closed panel. The mains supply is 3 x AC 110–230 V with a ±10% tolerance, making the controller suitable for low-voltage three-phase networks used in compact assembly equipment and similar machinery.
The hardware uses design version 1 within the HCS01 line. Both feedback connectors accept Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, so the same drive can be paired with linear or rotary motors that use digital sine-cosine feedback or EnDat absolute encoders. The power section is classified for infeeding and fed operation, which means it can return regenerative energy to a shared DC bus during braking and can also operate as a stand-alone supply when no shared bus is present. This gives the controller flexibility in both single-axis layouts and multi-axis systems that exchange braking energy through a common DC link.
