The AKM Synchronous Servomotors comprise a range of brushless, permanent-magnet servo motors built for demanding industrial motion applications such as robotics, machine tools, transfer lines, and packaging/textile equipment where high dynamics and stable control loops are required.
The rotor uses rare-earth neodymium-iron-boron magnets and the stator is a three-phase winding intended for electronic commutation by a SERVOSTAR servo amplifier, meaning the motors are not designed for direct connection to the mains. For feedback, a resolver is standard, with alternative feedback options available, and the selected feedback type can change motor length and is not retrofittable. The series is designed for industrial durability with a standard IP65 enclosure, electrically isolated winding temperature monitoring via an integrated PTC, and grease-lubricated bearings specified for long operating life under rated conditions. Mechanical and integration options include IM B5 flange mounting, angular connector-based power/feedback connections, and an optional 24 VDC spring-applied holding brake intended for standstill holding rather than repeated operational braking.
