The AKM24D-CKCN2-00 is a brushless synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides precise, closed-loop torque and speed control for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and other motion functions in automated machinery. Its brushless design supports repeatable response during frequent starts and stops in cyclic motion. That makes it suitable for packaging, handling, and assembly equipment where short motion cycles must remain consistent. The unit ships in the standard configuration and is supplied without an integrated brake, so holding torque must come from the drive or another external device when needed.

Its power and feedback cabling are terminated by 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, allowing tool-free quarter-turn locking inside tight cabinets. Rotor position is reported through a 2048 lines/rev incremental scale that balances resolution with modest data bandwidth. The sensor, called Comcoder, combines commutation and incremental tracks in a single device. Because the encoder is single-turn optical, it provides position information within one mechanical revolution and does not store multi-turn position data after shutdown. Mechanical integration is eased by alternative flange variant C, which shifts the pilot diameter and bolt circle to match compact gearboxes and customized mounting plates.

The housing follows a 58 mm square frame that limits mass while supporting the longer rotor indicated by length index 4. The square frame also helps fit the motor into dense machine layouts where surrounding hardware limits mounting space. Output torque is delivered through an open-keyway shaft, so couplings can be locked positively rather than by friction alone.
