The AKM32C-ACCNDA00 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen as a member of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This model is used in industrial automation to deliver precise torque and speed control to axes that require coordinated motion, such as indexing tables and small gantry stages. Electrical commutation is matched to the motor winding, and the unit’s optical encoder provides both incremental and absolute position data for closed-loop drive controllers.
The motor is supplied without a brake, so holding torque must be provided by the drive or an external clamp when power is removed. Two SpeedTec Ready connectors handle power and feedback, and the bayonet style helps maintain shielding continuity. Position feedback uses an EnDAT 2.1 encoder, a bidirectional digital interface that streams position, diagnostic, and electronic nameplate data to the drive. Its resolution of 512/2048 lines/rev supports fine velocity regulation at low speeds while allowing the drive to process absolute position data. Because the sensing system is single-turn optical, the rotor position is measured within one mechanical revolution, which is suitable for applications that reference the axis at startup.
The mechanical layout uses an IEC flange with accuracy N, letting the housing bolt onto gearboxes or brackets that share this standardized bolt circle. A 70 mm frame keeps the motor compact while remaining compatible with couplings sized for medium inertia loads, and the rotor length index of 2 balances torque output with moment of inertia for responsive acceleration. The output shaft features a keyway, providing positive engagement with pulleys or pinions without relying on friction alone. The stator carries winding C, which matches the motor to drives that supply the required current and voltage for this electromagnetic design.
