Product Description:
The AKM64K-ANC2R-00 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen as part of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is designed to deliver finely controlled torque and speed for coordinated motion axes in packaging, robotics, and material-handling cells. The motor belongs to the AKM synchronous servo motor product family and mates with Kollmorgen digital drives to translate command currents into precise shaft movement for automated equipment. Its compact frame eases integration inside multi-axis gantries where cabinet depth is limited.
A factory-installed 24 V holding brake secures the load whenever drive power is removed, protecting vertical or suspended mechanisms. Power and feedback cables are terminated through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, a keyed interface that streamlines assembly while preserving EMC integrity. Rotor position is monitored by a resolver coupled to a single-turn inductive sensor, giving absolute feedback without batteries. The housing spans a 138 mm frame dimension, and its face pattern follows an IEC flange with accuracy N so the unit can mount to common gear reducers. This configuration is delivered at the standard customization level, uses a Size 10/15/21 resolver package, and carries rotor length index 4 for elevated continuous torque capacity.
The mechanical drive end features a smooth shaft, allowing backlash-free clamp coupling and simplifying alignment procedures. Internal electromagnetic geometry provides 2 poles, which supports balanced cogging characteristics and wide control bandwidth. Current density and thermal limits correspond to winding designation K, enabling direct parameter selection inside Kollmorgen drive libraries. Drive libraries, tuning values, and accessory options from Kollmorgen closely match the AKM64K-ANC2R-00 electrical model used by compatible drives.
