Product Description:
The AKM33E-ACC2R-01 synchronous servo motor is built by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for precise torque and speed regulation on automated axes, linking directly to digital drives through molded connectors. By combining a compact frame with rare-earth magnets, the unit supports dynamic positioning on assembly lines, robotic wrists, labeling heads, and similar motion systems while maintaining repeatable accuracy. This operating role suits indexing tables, compact transfer units, and other motion tasks that need responsive acceleration and stable speed control. The motor uses standardized mechanical interfaces that support consistent mounting in equipment built around the AKM platform.
Its integrated brake is a 24 V holding brake that secures the load during power loss and short dwell periods. Power and feedback leads are connected through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, which use keyed quarter-turn locking for secure attachment. To limit lubricant migration into the housing, the motor is supplied with a shaft seal. Rotor position is measured by a resolver with 2 poles, giving a continuous analog sine-cosine signal that remains tolerant of high temperatures and electrical noise. The rotor length index 3 and winding designation e are suited to medium-torque applications where compact size and stable electrical behavior are both important.
The motor uses an IEC flange with accuracy N, allowing direct coupling to gearboxes or pump heads without alignment shims. A frame side dimension of 70 mm keeps the housing narrow for closely spaced axes, and the shaft uses a keyway to transmit rated torque. The feedback system is a single-turn inductive arrangement, so absolute position is retained within one mechanical revolution without batteries. This feedback method supports reliable commutation and stable low-speed control in industrial environments with electrical interference. The feedback package uses size 10/15/21 components, and the compact housing leaves clearance for standard couplings and belt pulleys.
