Product Description:
The AKM64L-ACCNR-00 synchronous servo motor is manufactured by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The model converts drive current into precisely controlled torque for positioning and velocity tasks in industrial automation equipment such as pick-and-place heads, indexing tables, and gantry axes. It has a 138 mm square frame, an IEC flange with accuracy class N, and a 32 mm keyed shaft that accepts couplings or gearboxes. Two SpeedTec-ready connectors simplify power and feedback cabling during cabinet assembly.
This motor can deliver a continuous stall torque of 21 N-m, representing the steady mechanical load the shaft can hold without exceeding its thermal limits. Maintaining that output requires a continuous stall current of 12.8 Arms from the drive. The windings have a back electromotive force constant of 106.6 Vrms/kRPM, so every 1,000 revolutions per minute generates that voltage across the phases, which the servo amplifier must oppose while regulating speed. Electrical response is shaped by a line-to-line inductance of 6.2 mH, which smooths current transients. A line-to-line resistance of 0.75 ohms establishes the baseline copper loss during continuous operation.
For transient moves, the rotor can produce a peak stall torque of 54.1 N-m, which is available only for brief duty cycles when the drive supplies up to 38.4 Arms. The rotor inertia is 0.00316 kg-m², allowing commanded speed changes without causing overshoot in moderately loaded axes. The enclosure has an IP54 rating, providing protection against limited dust entry and water splashes in standard factory settings. A body length of 203.7 mm, combined with rotor length index 4 and the L winding designation, places the motor in the higher-torque group of the AKM product line. Its dimensions remain compatible with common IEC mounting patterns.
