Product Description:
The AKM41E-ANC2R-00 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts drive current from a matched servo amplifier into tightly regulated torque and speed, allowing machine tools, packaging gantries, and material-handling axes to position loads with sub-millisecond response. The motor has a standard customization level and follows common dimensional and electrical interfaces used throughout general industrial automation. Its compact design allows it to operate as part of a closed-loop motion system in applications that require responsive acceleration and accurate positioning.
A built-in 24 V holding brake locks the rotor when power is removed, preventing vertical or suspended loads from drifting. Power, brake, and feedback lines terminate on two SpeedTec-ready connectors, which use keyed inserts for quick mating and consistent shielding. Rotor position is measured by a resolver that delivers noise-resistant analog sine-cosine signals to the servo drive. The resolver uses two poles for position sensing across the shaft’s rotation. A single-turn inductive feedback method retrieves the absolute shaft angle without batteries or multi-turn gearing. This feedback arrangement allows the amplifier to monitor rotor position while regulating motor torque, velocity, and movement.
The front face carries an IEC flange with accuracy class N, allowing the motor to center accurately without additional alignment sleeves. The square body has an overall frame dimension of 84 mm, which supports installation in compact machine assemblies and closely spaced motion axes. Output torque is transmitted through a smooth shaft that accepts clamping or set-screw couplings and avoids the stress concentrations associated with a keyway. The resolver assembly follows the Size 10/15/21 envelope, conserving housing space while maintaining adequate thermal clearance. The E winding code and rotor length index 1 establish an electromagnetic stack suited to moderate continuous torque without excessive rotor inertia. This combination supports controlled starts, stops, and direction changes while keeping the mechanical interface straightforward.
