Suitable applications include pick-and-place stations, packaging machinery, and electronic assembly tools, where the motor converts drive commands into controlled rotary motion.
The mechanical interface uses a flange that meets IEC accuracy class N, while the housing has a 108 mm frame dimension. A smooth shaft allows the motor to connect to backlash-free clamps or gearheads without a keyway. Power and feedback conductors are routed through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, which support rapid plug-in installation and positive locking. Rotor position is monitored by an EnDat 2.1 encoder, whose digital output provides stronger noise immunity than an analog resolver. Inside the sensor, a dual-track code disk provides 512/2048 lines per revolution, enabling high control-loop bandwidth when the motor is paired with a compatible AKD drive. The encoder head follows the EQN1125/1325 format, allowing the use of compatible Kollmorgen cables and drive parameters without modification.

Absolute position data remain available after a power cycle, eliminating the need for repeated homing moves. The unit is supplied without a brake, so a vertical axis must hold its load through external clamping or drive-applied torque. The motor uses winding designation G, which indicates the coil configuration and its associated nominal voltage and rated current. A correctly sized amplifier can supply the required current while keeping the motor within its permitted operating range. The absence of a shaft key also reduces the need for keyed couplings when a clamping connection is used, while the locking connectors help prevent accidental disconnection during machine operation.
