Product Description:
The AKM42E-ACC2C-01 synchronous servomotor is designed to work along with the SERVOSTAR digital servoamplifier from the manufacturer. The servomotor is listed among Kollmorgen’s AKM42 series of motors. The servoamplifier and servomotor must have individual commissioning in multi-axis systems with proper earthing for their connections and wirings. It has a peak current rating of 11A and a peak torque rating of 11.3Nm. The device is integrated with a keyway shaft that incorporates a shaft seal. The motor will not rotate if the servoamplifier is not enabled. The product supports a warranty period of one year.
The synchronous device must be checked for a properly installed shielding to avoid EMC interference. The motor has an unlimited storage time and a climatic category of 1K4 when it is stored. Its housing must be cleaned with isopropanol or a similar agent when it gets dirty. The product must not be subject to shocks during transport. The motor chokes must be installed as near as possible to the servoamplifier. The operation of the motor must be stopped if noises are heard and the bearings must be replaced immediately.
The motor encompasses a rotor length of 2 and a flange of size 4 with IEC specifications. The device has a winding type of E. The unit incorporates a smart feedback device and a 24V holding brake that blocks the motor when it is in the de-energized state. The holding brake cannot be retrofitted and increases the overall length of the motor. It must not be used for repeated operational braking.
