The AKM42G-ACCNR-00 is a brushless synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. In an automation cell, the unit couples to a matched digital drive to generate precise torque and speed commands for linear slides, rotary actuators, or small indexing tables. By translating electrical current into controlled rotary motion, it positions tooling, conveyors, and pick-and-place heads within repeatable tolerances. When paired with the proper amplifier, it can support synchronized motion profiles in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment.
This model is supplied without a brake, so static holding must be achieved with external clamping devices or maintained drive current. Electrical and feedback terminations follow the SpeedTec layout and use 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, allowing quick plug-in of power and resolver cables. A square stator cross-section of 84 mm sets the mounting footprint and cooling area. Rotor position is measured by a resolver, which is a shock-resistant inductive sensor.
