Product Description:
The AKM32H-ACC2DA01 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for industrial automation platforms such as CNC positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and light packaging axes, where the motor converts commanded current from a matched drive into precise rotary motion. Integrated optical feedback enables closed-loop regulation of speed and position, supporting tight repeatability while maintaining a compact machine footprint.
Mechanical integration is simplified by the motor’s 70 mm square frame and an IEC flange with accuracy N that mates directly with standardized gearboxes or adapter plates. Power and feedback are routed through two SpeedTec Ready connectors, which lock with a quarter turn to help maintain sealing at the connection points. A 24 V holding brake engages automatically when power is removed, preventing back-driving on vertical axes or during emergency stops. Output torque is transmitted through a hardened keyway shaft, eliminating reliance on adhesive couplings. The H winding supports higher bus voltages to reduce current draw, and Rotor Length Index 2 balances continuous torque with inertia for mid-speed duty cycles.
Position data is supplied by an EnDat 2.1 encoder based on the ECN1113/1313 optical sensor family. Resolution reaches 512/2048 lines per revolution, and because the system is single-turn optical, the drive receives unique absolute position information within each revolution without added gearing. The encoder and bearings are protected by a factory-installed shaft seal, enabling reliable service in environments that contain dust, oil mist, or washdown fluids. The feedback system supports high-bandwidth position loops and reliable motion control in demanding production settings.
