Product Description:
The AKM52K-ACCNAB00 is a permanent-magnet servo motor from Kollmorgen in the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This compact rotary motor converts drive current into controlled torque and speed for coordinated motion in automated assembly cells, pick-and-place gantries, and packaging stations. Because it combines a permanent-magnet design with a low-inertia rotor, the motor responds quickly to current commands and supports repeatable motion on axes that accelerate and stop often. High-resolution feedback allows the external servo drive to regulate speed and position closely when several mechanical axes must stay synchronized.
The motor is supplied without a brake, so any holding force at standstill must come from the drive or the machine mechanics. This arrangement suits axes that already use external locking devices or servo holding torque during short stops. Power and feedback connections use two SpeedTec Ready connectors, which support quick coupling in tight installation spaces and help keep cable routing orderly. Position feedback is provided at 2048 lines/rev through a BiSS B encoder, giving the drive accurate data for speed regulation, commutation, and position control. The housing uses a 108 mm square frame, which fits compact machine layouts and provides a consistent mounting envelope for surrounding hardware.
In addition to single-turn position data, the feedback system includes a multi-turn optical track to record revolutions and preserve absolute position information across repeated turns. Its absolute code uses the AD34/AD58 format, and the mounting face follows IEC accuracy class N tolerances for proper alignment with mating components such as gearheads or mounting plates. The internal build tag lists rotor length index 2, which identifies the electromagnetic stack height used for mid-range torque density. The motor also uses the standard customization level, a keyway shaft profile, and winding designation K for use with 230 V class amplifiers.
