The AKM42G-ACCNDB00 is a compact brushless motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is designed to deliver tightly regulated torque and velocity for servo-driven tooling, conveyors, and gantry axes in automated machines. By combining high-resolution feedback with low cogging, it supports coordinated multi-axis motion in electronic assembly, packaging, and material-handling equipment. This operating profile also suits indexing stations, rotary tables, and transfer systems that require smooth acceleration and repeatable stopping.

The motor operates without a brake, so the shaft must be held by the drive or by an external mechanism whenever power is removed. Power and feedback are routed through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, which use keyed push-and-turn mating for secure attachment and straightforward cable routing. The integrated feedback produces 512/2048 lines per revolution after interpolation, and position data are transmitted over an EnDAT 2.1 serial channel. That arrangement reduces the number of conductors needed between the motor and the controller. Because the sensor is a multi-turn optical encoder, the drive receives absolute position information over many revolutions without relying on batteries.

The feedback package uses an EQN1125/1325 scanning head that matches drive settings for this encoder family. An IEC flange with accuracy N aligns the motor to gearboxes or machine plates, and the 84 mm frame keeps the housing compact for dense axis layouts. Internal stack length follows rotor length index 2, which provides a practical balance between torque output and inertia. The motor also has a keyed shaft, and winding designation G identifies the electrical constant set used with compatible Kollmorgen drives. It is supplied at the Standard customization level.
