Kollmorgen motors in the AKM series have redefined how application are run on the industrial floor. To accommodate a wide range of industrial applications, motors in the Kollmorgen AKM family feature either EnDat, Comcoder, BiSS, or SFD feedback system. AKM motors are optionally supplied with shaft-sealing rings. Motors with a radial shaft-sealing ring are ideal for use in environments prone to oil spray, oil mist, and high levels of fine dust. Note that motors with a shaft-sealing ring have an international protection rating of IP 67. Kollmorgen AKM motors are manufactured with an optional holding brake that enhances safety. AKM motors are designed to be operated with the Kollmorgen ServoStar servo amplifier. Note that combining an AKM motor with a ServoStar digital amplifier forms a closed speed or torque control loop allowing for better speed or torque control.
The AKM52H-ACC2R-00 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It belongs to the AKM series and is designed with standard factory customizations. The AKM52H-ACC2R-00 has an ingress protection rating of IP 65 and features a resolver for feedback. With a resolver, the motor can be used in relatively harsh environments with high vibrations and electrical disturbances and still maintain its precise positioning. The AKM52H-ACC2R-00 has a shaft keyway, an IEC rated flange, and a flange size measuring 108 millimeters.
The Kollmorgen AKM52H-ACC2R-00 has rotatable angular connectors allowing for faster and easy connections regardless of the motor’s mounting position. The motor can be mounted with its shaft facing upwards, downwards, or sideways. When mounted with the shaft facing upwards, care should be taken for liquids not to settle at the top. The AKM52H-ACC2R-00 has a holding brake which avoids unintentional shaft rotation when the motors is at zero speed.
