The AKM24C-ANB22-00 is a brushless synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen in the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion axes, it transforms regulated bus voltage into precise rotary torque that maintains position and speed commands in packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and small robot joints. Its 24-frame size supplies more continuous torque than the AKM22 group yet preserves a short overall length for machines with limited mounting depth, and it interfaces directly with Kollmorgen servo drives and common industrial fieldbus networks.

The motor contains a 24 V holding brake that clamps the rotor when power is removed, helping keep vertical loads from drifting without external clamps. Power and feedback links are provided through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors. These quarter-turn fittings provide secure connections and proper shield grounding. Rotor position is measured by a Comcoder delivering 2048 lines/rev of incremental resolution, which supports smooth low-speed control. The feedback device covers only one mechanical revolution because it is single-turn optical, so multi-turn data must be managed in the drive. Kollmorgen identifies the encoder option as EPC 15T, which helps with parameter selection in the drive.
