The AKM23D-BNBNC-00 synchronous servomotor from Kollmorgen is one of the AKM series of motors from the manufacturer. Kollmorgen is known worldwide for its wide range of different types of motors. The device features Class F insulation and vibration class N according to DIN 57530 and DIN ISO 2373 specifications respectively. The unit encompasses an electrically isolated PTC fitting. It must be installed within an altitude of 1,000m above sea level. The stator of the motor features a three-phase winding that is driven by the servo amplifier. The servo amplifier also performs the electronic commutation of the motor.
The flange of the standard servomotor is designed as per NEMA standards. The motor must not be overstressed during the assembly process. The unit should have unhindered ventilation and it must be installed at a site that is free of aggressive and conductive materials. It has a rated torque of 1.12Nm and a rated power of 0.18kW at 115V. The stator windings are integrated with temperature sensors that monitor the temperature of its windings. The motor has a switching point at 155°C +/-5%. It is fitted with a hollow-shaft two-pole resolver. The motor comes with a warranty period of one year.
The motor chokes must be installed as close as possible to the servo amplifier and it has a PUR insulation material for sheathing and a PETP insulation material for core insulation. The motor leads have a life of one million bending cycles. The surface of the device can experience a temperature of over 100°C when it is in operation. The rotor of the motor must be checked regularly for free motion without any grinding noise. The motor has a peak current rating of 8.8A and a peak torque rating of 3.84Nm.
