Product Description:
The AKM41C-EKCNR-00 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for industrial automation, the unit develops controlled torque and speed on rotary axes where accurate position feedback is essential. When linked to a digital drive, it responds quickly to command changes, improving throughput on packaging equipment, pick-and-place heads, and process lines. Its synchronous design supports precise motion control during repetitive positioning and speed-regulated operation.
The motor is supplied without a brake, so any static holding duty must be provided by the drive or external mechanics. Connections are handled through two SPEEDTEC-ready connectors, separating the power and resolver lines while supporting quick locking. The housing has an 84 mm frame dimension that fits compact gearboxes and provides sufficient surface area for thermal dissipation. Mechanical power is delivered through an open keyway on the shaft, providing positive torque transmission to pulleys or couplings. Electromagnetic output is shaped by the stator’s winding designation C, which uses a coil arrangement suited to moderate continuous current and high peak torque. The rotor length index is 1, which limits inertia for rapid acceleration. The standard customization level provides the standard dimensional and sealing configuration for this motor type.
Position information comes from a shaft-mounted resolver that monitors rotor angle throughout operation. The resolver uses a two-pole configuration, enabling stable commutation without requiring high-bandwidth signal converters. Its single-turn inductive design operates without gears or batteries, reducing the number of components subject to mechanical wear in high-cycle installations. Kollmorgen packages the transducer in the Size 10/15/21 feedback envelope, supporting compatible feedback connections across several motor frame sizes. The resolver provides dependable analog position signals that allow the connected drive to regulate torque, speed, and shaft position. Its inductive operating principle also supports feedback performance in industrial environments where vibration and electrical noise may be present.
