Product Description:
The AKM32C-ACMNR-01 is a Kollmorgen servo motor in the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Used with a matched servo amplifier, it converts commanded current into controlled torque and speed for packaging heads, pick-and-place axes, and other medium-power stations. Its compact housing helps it fit tight machine frames where synchronized camming, electronic gearing, and fast indexing are required. It is intended for automated equipment that must blend speed control with accurate positioning on repeated cycles. The motor supports applications that need quick acceleration and repeatable settling between moves. Its stator winding, magnetic circuit, and feedback element are integrated into a sealed housing, keeping the package compact and self-contained.
Mechanically, the motor uses a 70 mm square frame, giving it a compact footprint on machine plates and brackets. The front face has an IEC flange with accuracy N, so it can mount in place of standard IEC units while maintaining proper centering at the machine interface. The motor uses a shaft with a keyway for rigid couplings, and the nose is protected with a shaft seal against light oil or dust. It is supplied without a brake, so static holding torque must be provided by the drive or by external clamps when the axis is stopped.
Control feedback is provided by a resolver in size 10/15/21 format. It supplies single-turn inductive position data over 2 poles, supporting closed-loop control without optical elements. Winding designation C matches typical factory bus voltages, and rotor length index 2 sets the magnetic path needed for rated torque. The drive converts the resolver's analog signals into high-resolution digital counts, helping maintain position accuracy across the full speed range. Because the feedback is inductive rather than optical, it continues to support stable control under vibration or temperature shifts.
