Product Description:

The AKM22E-ANS2R-00 is a high-performing synchronous servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen. The motor offers best-in-class performance. It is easy to commission and use with plug-and-play motor recognition. The device has permanent magnets in its rotor. The rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material is a crucial factor in making it possible to dynamically drive the motor. A three-phase winding that is driven by the servo amplifier used is integrated into the motor?s stator. There are no brushes in the motor because commutation is electronically performed by the servo amplifier used. A resolver is built into the AKM servomotor as the standard feedback unit. The servo amplifier in the SERVOSTAR series evaluates the resolver position and supplies sinusoidal currents to the motor. A spring applied brake of 24V DC is integrated into the servomotor. When this brake is de-energized, it blocks the rotor. The holding brake is designed as a standstill brake and does not suit repeated operational braking. If the brake is released, the rotor can be moved without a remnant torque. A personal safe operation of this holding brake needs an additional contact (which is normally opened) in the braking circuit and an anti-surge device like a varistor for the brake. The AKM servomotor is precision equipment. The shaft and flange are vulnerable at the time of storage and assembly, so brute force should be avoided. It is vital to use the locking thread provided to tighten up the couplings, gear wheels or pulley wheels and warm up the components of the drive, where possible. Use of force or blows will often lead to damage to the shaft and the bearings.
