By accepting phase-controlled current from a digital drive, the motor produces repeatable torque in a compact package that fits standardized IEC flanges. This arrangement allows machine designs to accommodate different speed or power requirements without changes to the mounting hardware.
The motor frame measures 40 mm on each side, so it occupies minimal space while still allowing adequate copper fill for thermal performance. Its front face uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, ensuring concentric alignment with gearheads and couplings. Power and feedback cables exit through a special connector arrangement that differs from the standard AKM pinout, so the connection must be matched at the drive end for correct phasing.
