Product Description:

The AKM22G-CKB22-00 is a high-performing synchronous servomotor from Kollmorgen that is easy to commission and use. The motor should be driven by an AKD servo drive under speed and/or torque control. The unit is intended for drives for equipment with high requirements for dynamics and stability, including industrial robots, machine tools, and textile and packing machinery. The motor features G winding type and an open keyway shaft. The servomotor has ball bearings that must be replaced after 20,000 operating hours under rated conditions. The bearing noise must be checked every 2,500 operating hours. If any noise is heard, the operation of the motor must be stopped, and the bearings must be replaced. The AKM servomotor features a Comcoder with 2048 PPR feedback system. It has angular connectors that are rotatable. It is vital to ensure that the motor housing is earthed safely to the PE busbar in the switch cabinet. Without low-resistance earthing, personal protection is not ensured. There is a risk of severe injury or death from electric shock. The absence of optical displays does not mean that there is an absence of voltage. Even if the motor shaft is not rotating, power connections may carry voltage. The capacitors in the servo drive can still carry a dangerous voltage a few minutes after turning off the supply voltages. In order to ensure safety, the user must measure the DC-link voltage and wait until the voltage has dropped below 40 V. The AKM servomotor comes with a 24V holding brake. Retrofitting of the brake is not possible. When the brake is de-energized, it blocks the rotor. The holding brake is designed as a standstill brake and is not suited for repeated operational braking. If the brake is released, the rotor can be moved without a remnant torque. When the holding brake is mounted, the length of the motor increases.

Frequently Asked Questions about AKM22G-CKB22-00:

Q: What should be done if the packaging of the AKM servomotor is damaged?

A: If the packaging of the AKM servomotor is damaged, the device should be checked for visible damage. The carrier and if appropriate, the manufacturer, should be informed immediately.

Q: What is the use of the temperature sensors in the AKM servomotor?

A: The temperature sensors in the AKM servomotor are used to monitor the temperature of the winding.

Q: What should be done if the holding brake of the AKM servomotor is not controlled directly by the servo amplifier?

A: If the holding brake of the AKM servomotor is not controlled directly by the servo amplifier, additional wiring is required. In this case, the applications department of the manufacturer should be consulted beforehand.

Q: What happens if the earthing of the AKM servomotor is not done correctly?

A: It is not possible to assure electrical safety if the earthing of the AKM servomotor is not done correctly.

Q: What should be done if there is noise from the bearings of the AKM servomotor?

A: If there is noise from the bearings of the AKM servomotor, they should be replaced.
