Electromagnetic behavior is set by winding code C, which establishes the electrical characteristics used by low-voltage, high-current amplifiers. The rotor length index keeps inertia low, and the motor is supplied without a brake, so holding torque during power off must be provided externally. This arrangement is useful on axes where a separate mechanical holding method is already part of the machine.
