Product Description:
The AKM32D-ANCNR-00 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. In an industrial automation setting, it converts drive-supplied current into tightly regulated torque and speed so that PLC-controlled machinery can position tooling, conveyors, or pick-and-place heads with repeatable accuracy. This compact motor fits IEC-pattern gearheads while delivering the dynamic response required for small packaging lines and assembly gantries.
The motor has a frame dimension of 70 mm, enabling direct attachment to compact planetary gearboxes without extra adapter plates. Output torque is transmitted through a smooth shaft, which is suited to clamp or shrink-fit couplings where backlash must be minimized. Motion feedback is produced by a resolver with 2 poles, providing clean sine-cosine signals to the drive for velocity and position control. Fast cabinet wiring is supported by two SpeedTec-ready connectors, which separate the power and feedback lines and lock without tools. The motor has a standard customization level, feedback hardware in the size 10/15/21 format, and winding designation D, which balances current draw with base speed.
The unit is supplied without a brake, so vertical axes must rely on drive holding torque or an external clamp when power is removed. Position data is absolute within one revolution because of its single-turn inductive sensor, eliminating the need for a homing cycle at startup. Mounting accuracy follows an IEC flange pattern with accuracy class N, supporting concentric alignment with reducers and servo mounts. A rotor length index of 2 indicates a magnetic stack that raises continuous torque while keeping rotor inertia moderate for agile acceleration. The motor connects to compatible drives that accept its feedback signals and electrical characteristics, allowing the control system to regulate motion throughout changing load conditions.
