The AKM22E-ACC2R-0C is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact brushless actuator, it converts drive current into controlled torque and speed for packaging stations, pick-and-place heads, and small indexing tables in industrial automation. Electronic commutation enables the connected servo drive to regulate movement without the mechanical wear associated with brushes. The motor is designed for installation in tight machine frames where space is limited and precise motion control is required.
The motor body has a 58 mm frame dimension, and its mounting face uses an IEC flange with accuracy N. This mounting arrangement allows the motor to connect directly to compatible gearboxes or load adapters without alignment shims. Power and feedback cables connect through two SpeedTec-ready connectors that provide quick, keyed mating and help prevent incorrect cable orientation during installation. A built-in resolver supplies instantaneous rotor position to the drive for commutation and closed-loop control. The resolver operates with two electrical poles and functions as a single-turn inductive sensor, avoiding the optical discs and batteries used by some feedback devices. A shaft keyway provides positive torque transfer to pulleys, belt drives, or rigid couplings and helps prevent the connected component from slipping on the shaft under load.
A 24 V holding brake locks the shaft when motor power is removed, helping prevent suspended or vertical loads from back-driving the axis. The magnetic stack uses rotor length index 2, providing moderate inertia for responsive acceleration and stable settling during positioning cycles. Copper conductors identified by winding designation E establish the resistance and inductance values used by compatible Kollmorgen drives for current regulation. Resolver leads follow the Size 10/15/21 feedback format, providing the connection arrangement required by compatible AKD amplifiers. The inductive feedback design allows the drive to monitor shaft angle throughout each mechanical revolution while maintaining accurate commutation in demanding industrial motion applications.
