The AKM54K-ACCN2-00 synchronous servomotor is one of many motors offered by Kollmorgen in the AKM series. This servomotor is equipped with a keyway shaft. The fitted key should be removed from the shaft before allowing the device to operate individually. The motor surface can become very hot when in use and can reach a temperature of over 100°C and so must be allowed to cool down below 40°C before touching it. The product is CE Certified and cUL Recognized. Removing power connections from the device in the energized state can result in flashovers and damage the contacts.

The AKM54K-ACCN2-00 is fitted with rotatable angular connectors for power connection. The unit is for installation in electrical machines or apparatus. The motor can withstand a relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation during transport and storage. It should be transported in the manufacturer’s recyclable and original packaging material. The device has a winding resistance of 1.08 Ohms and a winding inductance of 6.2mH. The product features a rated power of 2.39kW at 230VDC. The unit must be installed within an altitude of 1,000m above sea level.

The synchronous motor does not make use of a holding brake. The motor must be cleaned and maintained by qualified personnel only. The housing must be cleaned with isopropanol or similar agents when it becomes dirty. The ball bearings come with a grease packing and encompass a normal life of 20,000 operating hours. They must be replaced after this period. The product can be stored for an unlimited duration when it is not in use. The matt black enamel finish is not resistant to solvents like nitro-thinners and trichloroethylene.  It is used with a corresponding Kollmorgen servo amplifier.
