Product Description:
The AKM32H-ANC2LB-00 servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series, which is designed for closed-loop industrial motion. The unit serves as a compact rotary actuator for pick-and-place stations, indexing tables, and light packaging machinery that require precise velocity and position regulation. By pairing a permanent-magnet rotor with an embedded digital feedback interface, the motor provides rapid acceleration and repeatable stopping accuracy while minimizing its mechanical footprint and cabinet wiring requirements.
The square mounting face has a frame dimension of 70 mm, allowing direct attachment to IEC size 70 gearboxes without spacers. Within the frame, rotor length index 2 limits inertia, while winding designation H establishes the voltage constant used by compatible Kollmorgen drives. Motion feedback is handled by an EnDat 2.1 encoder that uses an EQI1130/1331 sensing element. The encoder provides a base resolution of 16/32 lines per revolution before interpolation. A 24 V holding brake secures the shaft during a loss of power, helping suspended loads remain in place. The brake also supports controlled stopping when the drive can no longer supply holding torque.
Cabling is simplified by two SpeedTec-ready connectors with bayonet locks for toolless engagement. Keyed inserts help prevent incorrect connector orientation and reduce the risk of phase reversal during installation. The encoder uses multi-turn inductive sensing to retain absolute position without batteries or mechanical gears in the memory system. An IEC flange with accuracy class N maintains axial and radial alignment within standard tolerances during mounting. Output torque is transmitted through a smooth shaft that accepts collet or clamp couplings without requiring a keyway.
