Integrated feedback and braking elements allow the unit to hold its position during a power loss and report the absolute rotor angle to the drive. These functions support coordinated movement in packaging machines, pick-and-place modules, and material-handling equipment where controlled acceleration and repeatable stopping are required.
The electromechanical package includes a 24 V holding brake, so the shaft remains locked when power is removed. Power and feedback lines connect through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, which provide keyed, quarter-turn coupling for secure cable attachment. Position data are supplied by an EnDat 2.1 encoder that uses the EQN1125/1325 optical pickup.
