Product Description:
The AKM41H-ACCNC-0F servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended to drive positioning and velocity loops in automated packaging, filling, and material-handling stations where precise motion and rapid washdown changeovers are required. By coupling its permanent-magnet rotor directly to load shafts, the unit eliminates belt stretch and gear backlash that can otherwise degrade control accuracy. Its electrical design matches Kollmorgen AKD and other digital drives that rely on high-resolution feedback for tight servo loops.
The mechanical interface uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, while the frame has a width of 84 mm, allowing machine builders to mount the motor without remachining adapter plates. A splined coupling is not used; instead, the motor has a shaft with a keyway, providing positive torque transfer to pulleys or rigid couplings. Power and feedback leads exit through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, allowing tool-free quarter-turn locking during maintenance. The stator uses the H winding designation, which indicates voltage constant and current ratings suited to medium-inertia loads. Because the rotor length index is 1, the minimized stack depth provides a compact package. The model is delivered without a brake to reduce mass and inertia.
For sanitary applications, the motor’s Washdown Food configuration seals external seams and uses corrosion-resistant coatings. Position data is generated by an SFD sensor that streams four lines of digital feedback to the drive. Inside the encoder, the rotor angle is captured over a single-turn inductive range, while the encoder uses a Size 10/15/21 layout to keep the sensing package compact. The feedback system supports smooth commutation without adding multi-turn complexity, while the lack of a brake further reduces the motor’s axial length.
