The AKM23D-ANBNC-00 is a synchronous servo motor built by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is supplied without a brake, so any holding force at standstill must come from drive torque or an external mechanism. Its configuration level is standard, which means it does not include optional custom machining or protective coatings. In motion-control systems, the motor provides regulated torque and speed for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and packaging stations that require repeatable positioning during continuous operation.

The wiring interface uses two SpeedTec Ready connectors, with separate connections for power and feedback to simplify cable routing and keyed engagement. The feedback channel provides 4 lines of digital data through the SFD protocol, giving the drive absolute position information for closed-loop control. Feedback sensing uses a single-turn inductive element, so the motor reports position within one revolution without relying on multi-turn memory.
