Product Description:
The AKM43E-SSCNR-02 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This motor provides closed-loop rotary positioning for industrial automation tasks that require controlled speed and accurate angular movement. Typical applications include packaging machines, pick-and-place axes, and indexing tables that perform repetitive motion under changing loads.
The motor uses an 84 mm square frame and a special flange pattern that accommodates customized gearheads or mounting brackets. Power and feedback cables exit through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, allowing quick-lock cable installation and convenient access during equipment servicing. The special shaft has a nonstandard end geometry intended for application-specific couplings. For applications that manage deceleration through the drive or external mechanical components, the motor is supplied without a brake. Its thermal and electromagnetic characteristics follow winding designation E, which establishes the resistance, inductance, and torque constants used by compatible drives. The selected magnetic stack provides greater continuous torque than shorter rotor configurations without increasing the square frame dimensions.
Position information is provided by a resolver with single-turn inductive tracking, delivering two sinusoidal channels that represent the rotor angle over one mechanical revolution. The resolver uses a Size 10/15/21 form factor and connects to compatible servo drive feedback inputs. Rotor inertia and torque curves correspond to rotor length index 3, balancing acceleration response with the load capability required by medium-power servo mechanisms. The feedback system uses two electrical poles, while its inductive pickup resists electrical noise and operates reliably at elevated temperatures.
