Operating with a drive controller, the motor converts commanded currents into accurate shaft movement so that packaging stations, electronic assembly lines, and material-handling gantries can follow programmed trajectories while limiting overshoot.
The motor has an 84 mm frame cross-section and a NEMA flange, allowing direct attachment to standardized gearboxes or brackets. Power conductors, encoder lines, and protective earth share a single i-tec Hybrid or SpeedTec Ready Hybrid connector, reducing cabinet wiring and installation time. Output torque is delivered through an open keyway shaft that provides positive mechanical engagement with couplings or pulleys. Position data is generated by the SFD3 feedback system and transmitted over two feedback signal lines. This digital resolver format supports high update rates for responsive servo control loops.
