Product Description:
The AKM11E-AKCN2-00 is a compact servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a permanent-magnet synchronous unit, it delivers precise torque and position control for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and other coordinated automation tasks where smooth, responsive motion is required. The square housing follows the 40 mm frame pattern, which helps the motor fit tightly spaced machine layouts. Its compact format is suited to smaller axes where fast response and accurate positioning are more important than high continuous torque.
This motor is supplied without a brake, so holding force must be provided externally when power is removed. Power and feedback reach the stator through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, allowing keyed quarter-turn locking in modular machines. The feedback assembly delivers 2048 lines/rev from a Comcoder, giving consistent resolution for digital servo loops. Position data is derived from a single-turn optical disk, which simplifies homing in short-stroke applications. The standard customization level uses the usual winding, insulation, and bearing selection for this model, and the winding designation e is matched for nominal voltage and speed alignment with AKD drives.
The position sensor employs an EPC 15T code wheel so interpolation remains linear across the travel range. Mechanical mounting uses an IEC flange with accuracy N, which supports accurate alignment with metric gearheads. Rotor Length Index 1 gives the motor a shallow stack length for tight axial spaces. The shallow stack length helps the motor fit compact axes where available axial space is limited by guards, tooling, or nearby hardware. A shaft with an open keyway transmits torque directly to pulleys or couplings, and the interface complies with ISO feather-key proportions. Cable sets, gaskets, and seals are common across neighboring frame sizes.
