Product Description:
The AKM22E-ENB2DB00 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop positioning and velocity control in industrial automation, the unit fits compact machinery layouts because it uses a 58 mm frame size and a smooth shaft that mates directly with precision couplings. The motor is supplied in the standard customization level, so it can be integrated without special ordering. It also uses two SpeedTec-ready connectors, which support quick electrical connection where fast installation and compact cable routing are required.
At standstill, the motor delivers 0.87 N-m of continuous torque while drawing 2.73 Arms. For short acceleration demands, it can reach a peak torque of 2.76 N-m with up to 10.9 Arms. The electromagnetic design uses a torque constant of 0.32 N-m/Arms, along with 5.22 Ω of DC winding resistance and a rotor length index of 2 to balance output and size. It employs an EnDAT 2.1 encoder with 512/2048 line resolution and the EQN1125/1325 code pattern to provide absolute multi-turn optical position data to the drive. The E winding designation is intended for general-purpose machine applications where voltage and speed must remain compatible with standard servo system requirements.
The back electromotive force constant is 20.4 Vrms/kRPM, which allows the drive to relate generated voltage to motor speed during test and control functions. A phase inductance of 9.7 mH helps smooth current rise and supports stable loop operation with reduced ripple. For holding during power-off conditions, the integrated 24 V brake provides 1.4 N-m of torque when 24 VDC is applied to the coil. Rotor inertia is 0.0000161 kg·m², and the shaft diameter is 9 mm, so the motor is suited to compact couplings and responsive acceleration. The enclosure has an IP54 rating for protection against dust ingress and splashed water in typical industrial environments.
