The AKM42J-ACC2C-00 is a permanent-magnet servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for industrial automation tasks that demand accurate bidirectional torque, allowing a drive controller to position loads quickly and repeatably in assembly stations, electronic packaging lines, and multi-axis gantries. By combining a compact electromagnetic core with low-inertia rotor laminations, the motor translates digital current commands from the drive into real-time rotary motion that stays synchronized with feedback for tight process control.
The unit incorporates a 24 V holding brake that secures the shaft when power is removed, preventing backdriving on vertical or safety-critical axes.
