Product Description:
The AKM22G-ACDNCA-00 servo motor is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides finely metered torque and velocity for indexing tables, electronic cams, and coordinated multi-axis assemblies in industrial automation. A compact electromagnetic package lets the motor fit in space-constrained frames while still delivering dynamic response when paired with a Kollmorgen drive. Integrated feedback permits the controller to correct the rotor position in real time, eliminating the need for mechanical compensation devices and supporting accurate motion under changing loads.
In this configuration, the motor is supplied without a brake, so load holding during a power loss must be handled by external clamps or drive torque. Power and signal wiring are unified through one i-tec Hybrid or SpeedTec-ready Hybrid connector, reducing cable routing and simplifying installation. Rotor position data are transmitted through two digital communication lines connected to the onboard SFD3 sensor. The sensor provides single-turn inductive feedback, giving the controller absolute position immediately after startup without requiring a homing routine. The electromagnetic package uses winding designation G, which provides phase resistance and inductance suited to moderate bus voltages. Rotor length index 2 establishes an active stack depth that balances continuous torque with low inertia for responsive acceleration and deceleration.
The feedback head conforms to the Size 10/15/21 envelope, allowing it to fit the corresponding motor housing and feedback mounting arrangement. The front face uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, providing suitable tolerances for gearhead or coupling alignment without additional doweling. The motor body has a 58 mm square cross-section, which simplifies mounting in compact machines and closely spaced axis assemblies. Output torque is transmitted through a shaft with a keyway, enabling positive engagement with pulleys, gears, or rigid couplings. The hybrid connector is oriented to maintain accessible cable routing when the motor is installed on either a vertical or horizontal axis. Its compact housing also leaves space for adjacent machine components without interfering with the shaft connection or feedback wiring.
