Product Description:
The Kollmorgen AKM42J-ACC2C-01 is a reliable servomotor that should be operated in a drive system together with a SERVOSTAR servo amplifier. Only well-qualified personnel should perform tasks such as transport, setup, assembly, and maintenance of the motor. If the motor is not handled as it should be, it can lead to injury and damage to persons and machinery. The device must be safely earthed to the protective earth busbar in the switch cabinet. It should be noted that without a low-resistance earth connection, electrical safety is not possible. During the operation of the unit, the user should not unplug any connectors. Doing so creates the danger of severe injury, extensive material damage, and sometimes death. The AKM servomotor comes with a flange size of 84 mm and a rotor length of 2. The unit is equipped with a smart feedback device. The motor has rotatable angular connectors to facilitate power supply and feedback signals. The unit features a keyway shaft with shaft seal customization. The maximum mains voltage of the motor is 480 VAC. The motor has a torque constant of 0.43 Nm/A and a voltage constant of 27.5 mV/min. The servomotor has an in-built 24V holding brake. The weight of the holding brake is 0.63 kg. Extreme caution should be exercised when handling the AKM servomotor. The surface of the motor can be too hot when it is live. Its surface temperature can exceed 100?C. Before touching it, the user should measure the temperature and wait until the motor has cooled down below 40?C. If there is any fitted key in the shaft, it should be removed before letting the servomotor run independently to avoid the dangerous consequences of the key being thrown out by centrifugal forces.
Frequently Asked Questions about AKM42J-ACC2C-01:
Q: What kind of machinery is the AKM servomotor designed for?
A: The AKM servomotor is designed especially for drives for industrial robots, machine tools, textile and packing machinery and similar equipment that has high requirements for dynamics and stability.
Q: What is an important factor that makes it possible to drive the AKM servomotor in a highly dynamic fashion?
A: The rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material present in the AKM servomotor is an important factor in making it possible to drive the motor in a highly dynamic fashion.
Q: How is the temperature of the winding of the AKM servomotor monitored?
A: The temperature of the winding of the AKM servomotor is monitored by the temperature sensors in the stator windings.
Q: What is the purpose of the angular connectors in the AKM servomotor?
A: The angular connectors in the AKM servomotor are meant for power supply and feedback signals.
Q: What if the holding brake of the AKM servomotor is not directly controlled by the servo amplifier?
A: If the holding brake of the AKM servomotor is not controlled directly by the servo amplifier, additional wiring like a varistor is required.
