Product Description:
The AKM62P-ACCNR-01 is a synchronous servo motor built by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It serves as a rotary actuator in industrial automation, converting drive current from a matched amplifier into precise torque for positioning axes in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment. When paired with a compatible servo drive, the motor responds quickly to current commands so axes can follow programmed moves with stable speed and repeatable stopping behavior. This makes it suitable for machines that depend on coordinated motion rather than simple fixed-speed rotation. In automated stations, it can be used on feed axes, rotary tables, and transfer units where controlled acceleration and deceleration are required.
The unit is supplied without a brake, so any holding function must be provided externally when the axis is at a standstill. Power and feedback connections enter through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, which use a twist-lock style for quick attachment and secure routing at the motor housing. The front bearing area is protected with a shaft seal, allowing installation in light splash zones and helping limit contaminant entry at the shaft opening. Rotor position feedback uses 2 poles, and a resolver serves as the sensing element for the motor. Its single-turn inductive feedback supplies absolute position within one mechanical turn, while the P winding and rotor length index 2 match the electrical and dimensional layout used for this motor version.
The motor uses an IEC flange with accuracy N, so the pilot diameter and bolt circle fit compliant machine interfaces and gearboxes. Its square frame measures 138 mm, which gives a mid-size footprint that remains compact in densely arranged equipment while still supporting the motor's intended torque range. Torque is delivered through a keyway on the shaft, providing positive mechanical engagement for hubs or pulleys under changing load conditions. The AKM laminate stack geometry supports the motor's intended output in this frame, and the overall mounting format helps keep alignment straightforward during installation into standard servo axis layouts.
