The AKM21G-CKCNEM-00 is a compact synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It functions as a precise torque source in closed-loop control systems, converting drive currents into controlled shaft rotation for pick-and-place axes, light packaging stations, and other coordinated automation tasks. Its compact housing supports direct installation in multi-axis gantries and robotic joints where available space is limited. The motor also provides the responsive motion required for frequent acceleration, deceleration, and positioning cycles.
With a 58 mm frame dimension, the motor fits into space-constrained machines while accommodating the magnetic stack associated with its rotor length. The stator has winding designation G, which indicates a coil pattern with back-EMF and current characteristics suitable for pairing with compatible AKD drives. Mechanical attachment uses alternative flange variant C, allowing the housing to bolt to gearboxes or mounting plates that share the same footprint. Power and feedback circuits connect through two SpeedTec Ready connectors, allowing the corresponding cables to be secured quickly without tools. The unit is supplied without a brake, which eliminates brake drag during operation. Applications that require a stationary vertical load must provide holding force through the drive or an external mechanism.
