As a compact rotary actuator, it converts drive current from a matched amplifier into controlled torque and position, giving machinery precise motion profiles for packaging, material-handling, and pick-and-place axes. The unit’s electromagnetic design works with digital feedback so CNC tables, indexing conveyors, and robotic joints can synchronize their movements with millisecond accuracy.
The motor integrates two SpeedTec-ready connectors that separate power and signal paths while using quarter-turn bayonets for fast installation. Position data come from an EnDat 2.1 encoder, designated ECN1113/1313, which allows bidirectional digital communication between the motor and servo drive. Its optical disc provides a selectable resolution of 512 or 2048 lines per revolution, supplying fine incremental counts for smooth velocity control.
