Product Description:
The AKM33H-ACSNLB-02 is a synchronous servo motor developed by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It delivers closed-loop rotary actuation in applications that require compact dimensions, low inertia, and precise repeatability. In automated cells, the motor converts controlled stator current into proportional torque, driving gantry axes, rotary indexers, and metering pumps that depend on accurate position and velocity control.
This model is supplied without a brake, so an external mechanism or the drive’s standstill torque must hold the load. Power and feedback connections use a special connector arrangement that differs from the standard AKM pinout while maintaining quick-disconnect serviceability. Position data come from an EnDat 2.1 encoder coupled to an inductive multi-turn sensor, and its base resolution is 16/32 lines per revolution before interpolation by the drive electronics. The encoder uses the EQI1130/1331 format, providing absolute position data and incremental sine-cosine tracks for high-bandwidth control loops. Battery-free multi-turn counting allows the motor to retain revolution data across power cycles and reduces the need for machine homing routines. Rotor length index 3 sets the magnetic stack depth associated with the motor’s continuous torque capacity.
Mechanical mounting uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, allowing the motor to connect to gearheads and brackets that conform to this standard. The frame diameter measures 70 mm, enabling installation in space-constrained equipment while providing room for the active magnetic components. Torque is transmitted through a shaft with a keyway, ensuring positive engagement with pulleys or rigid couplings. Thermal constants and speed capability are set by the stator’s H winding designation, a coil configuration intended for drives that supply the corresponding voltage and current range. The inductive sensing system supports absolute position tracking without mechanical contact, which helps maintain feedback accuracy during repeated operation. The compact frame and standardized flange also simplify alignment when the motor is installed beside closely spaced machine components.
