Product Description:
The AKM24F-ANSNR-02 is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact permanent-magnet servo unit, it converts drive current into tightly regulated rotary motion for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and other motion tasks in industrial automation cells. Its permanent-magnet rotor supports responsive torque production and precise speed control when paired with a compatible servo drive. The F winding designation matches the stator impedance to drives that supply moderate current while keeping the temperature rise within the Class F insulation limit.
This model is supplied without a brake, so stopping and holding torque must be provided by the amplifier or an external mechanism. The square frame measures 58 mm, giving the motor a small footprint for multi-axis machines. Rotor position is detected by a resolver, an electromagnetic sensor that remains accurate in high-temperature operating conditions. Its two-pole resolver configuration supplies the electrical angle information needed for motor commutation. The single-turn inductive feedback reports rotor position within each mechanical revolution but does not track the accumulated number of turns. A smooth shaft supports connection to precision gearheads or zero-backlash clamping couplings without requiring a keyed interface.
The mounting interface provides IEC flange accuracy N, allowing precise alignment with standardized gearboxes and machine mounting surfaces. Cabling exits through a special connector arrangement that positions the power and feedback plugs perpendicular to the motor body where axial clearance is limited. This connector orientation keeps the cable routes close to surrounding machine structures and reduces interference with equipment positioned behind the motor. The motor uses rotor length index 4, providing a longer magnetic stack for increased continuous torque without requiring a wider frame. The resolver follows the Size 10/15/21 resolver package, allowing its body and mating connectors to match compatible servo-drive feedback harnesses.
