The AKM21E-BNMN1-00 is a compact synchronous servo motor built by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a torque and speed actuator in industrial automation, it converts controlled electrical input from a drive into precise rotary motion for indexing tables, small pick-and-place axes, or metering pumps. Its compact frame supports responsive motion on light-duty axes, and it fits applications where accurate starts, stops, and speed changes are required within limited installation space. The motor also integrates readily with common Kollmorgen drives and cable sets.

The housing width measures 58 mm, which suits tight machine frames while still providing enough mass for continuous-duty operation. A NEMA flange supports direct attachment to standardized gearboxes or mounts, and the smooth shaft helps simplify coupling installation when low backlash is important. Feedback is provided through a Comcoder that delivers 1024 lines/rev, giving the drive position information suitable for closed-loop servo control. The motor is supplied without a brake, so external holding must be used when the load has to remain fixed with power removed.
