The AKM24D-ACSNS-03 is a permanent-magnet servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides precise torque and speed regulation for positioning axes used in automated packaging equipment, electronic assembly stations, and small material-handling gantries. When connected directly to a matched drive, the motor supports closed-loop motion profiles that maintain repeatability in installations where micron-level accuracy is required. The permanent-magnet design provides responsive torque production across repeated acceleration, positioning, and deceleration cycles.
Its compact housing has a 58 mm frame dimension, allowing installation in space-restricted machine bays while keeping thermal mass low. An IEC flange rated for accuracy class N provides standardized pilot registration so the shaft aligns concentrically with gearboxes or linear actuators. Inside the stator, the windings use winding designation D, a coil layout selected for moderate continuous current and elevated voltage utilization. Output capacity is increased by the longer magnetic stack associated with rotor length index 4, which raises continuous torque without enlarging the faceplate. Mechanical energy reaches the load through a keyway shaft, providing positive torque transfer to pulleys or rigid couplings during repetitive start-stop cycles.
