Kollmorgen servo motors have evolved over time to address a wide range of industrial applications. The Kollmorgen AKM series of servo motors offers unprecedented flexibility and choice and can be co-engineered to achieve modifications necessary for unique applications. When used with the Kollmorgen AKD series drives, these motors are affordable and fast. Note that Kollmorgen manufactures motors for use in a wide range of environments, Examples are washdown environments which are found in a food and beverage setting, explosion proof environments such as those in oil and gas pace, and extreme temperature environments.
The AKM22G-EFB2C-01 is servo motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It falls in the AKM series and has a frame size measuring 58 millimeters. The AKM22G-EFB2C-01 offers extra safety feature by having a holding brake with a voltage rating of 24 Volts. The brake is designed to prevent the motor shaft from rotating when the motor is stalled. For easier and faster connections, the motor has rotatable angular connectors. By allowing for quicker connections, it’s possible to reduce the down-time in case of a faulty motor or drive. For accurate positioning, the AKM22G-EFB2C-01 features a smart feedback device. The AKM22G-EFB2C-01 has factory-installed shaft sealing allowing it to be used in industrial environments with water, dust and other substances that may hamper the effective running of other types of motors.
The Kollmorgen AKM22G-EFB2C-01 operates optimally in an environment with a surrounding temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius and not falling below 5 degrees Celsius at an altitude of up to 1000 meters. To preserve the condition of the motor’s internal components even during storage, the AKM22G-EFB2C-01 should be stored in an environment with a temperature of between 25 and 55 degrees Celsius.
