Product Description:
The AKM43E-BKC2R-00 is a brushless servo motor built by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion tasks where torque density and precise speed control are needed in industrial automation cells, packaging machinery, and material-handling axes. When paired with a compatible servo amplifier, the motor converts electrical command signals into controlled rotary movement for coordinated multi-axis positioning. This operating role makes it suitable for applications that require rapid starts, frequent reversals, and repeatable settling behavior without relying on loose mechanical transmission elements to maintain accuracy. It is commonly used where synchronized motion between several axes must be maintained throughout a machine cycle.
This unit is supplied with a 24V holding brake, enabling load retention when power is removed and helping keep a parked axis from drifting. Power, feedback, and brake circuits are routed through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, which simplify cable attachment and reduce the amount of loose wiring around the motor body. The primary position device is a Resolver, providing analog sine-cosine signals that remain tolerant of electrical noise and vibration in industrial environments. An 84 mm square frame supports the magnetic stack while fitting standard machine mounting patterns, and the NEMA flange helps align the motor with compatible gearboxes and mounting surfaces. The customization level is standard, so the motor uses the normal dimensional and thermal characteristics for this configuration.
Feedback granularity is fixed at 2 poles, and the motor provides single-turn inductive position information for rotational feedback during servo control. The shaft exits the housing with an open keyway, allowing direct coupling to pulleys, sprockets, or other keyed transmission elements without secondary machining. Magnetic length is identified by 3 on the rotor length index, which pairs the rotor package with the frame size used by this model. The keyed shaft format helps transmit torque securely, and the feedback arrangement supports stable position control during reversing motion, short indexing cycles, and repeated acceleration changes.
