Product Description:
The AKM51G-HCCNR-00 is a brushless servo motor engineered by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. In motion-control systems, it supplies precise torque and velocity for positioning tasks such as indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and packaging seal bars. The unit belongs to the AKM product family and connects directly to a matched drive that supplies regulated electrical power to produce controlled mechanical output. Its compact design supports applications that require rapid response and repeatable positioning accuracy.
At standstill, the motor delivers 4.75 Nm of torque while drawing 4.84 A, which are important values when sizing the drive amplifier. The stator is rated for 480 VAC and uses winding designation G. Its voltage constant is 63.6 mV min⁻¹, establishing the relationship between rotational speed and generated voltage. A rotor inertia of 3.4 kg cm² and rotor length index 1 support rapid acceleration. Phase inductance is 12.1 mH, and copper loss is limited by a resistance of 2.75 Ω at 25 °C. The shaft tolerates a radial load of 450 N and an axial load of 180 N at 3000 rpm, allowing belt pulleys or rigid couplings to be installed without additional bearings.
Mechanical installation uses the alternative flange variant H with a 108 mm square frame, while the keyed shaft transmits torque directly to couplings or gearheads. Field wiring uses two SpeedTec-ready connectors, with one carrying power and the other carrying feedback signals. Their quarter-turn locking mechanism allows the plugs to be secured without tools. Motion feedback relies on a resolver that provides two-pole, single-turn inductive position data in the Size 10/15/21 envelope, giving the drive the rotor orientation at startup. The motor is supplied without a brake, so an external holding method is required when power is removed.
