Product Description:
The AKM22E-ENBNR-01 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It converts drive commands into controlled rotary motion for indexing tables, packaging stations, semiconductor handlers, and other automated axes that require repeatable positioning. In closed-loop operation, the motor works with a compatible servo amplifier to maintain commanded torque and speed during acceleration, deceleration, and steady running. Its compact housing and standardized electrical interface also support integration with Kollmorgen drives and compatible third-party controllers used in industrial automation.
The motor uses a 58 mm frame dimension, which gives it a small cross-section for axes with limited mounting space and densely packed machine layouts. Electrical power and feedback are routed through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, and the quarter-turn locking style helps keep cable attachment simple and secure. Rotor position is monitored by a resolver, and the feedback system uses 2 poles for rotor position sensing during commutation and speed control. The output is a smooth shaft, which works well with clamping hubs, timing pulleys, and precision gearheads where low runout and straightforward coupling are important.
Position feedback is provided by single-turn inductive feedback, which reports shaft position within one mechanical revolution and avoids the use of fragile optical sensing elements. The motor is supplied without a brake, so holding force must be provided by the drive or by external mechanics when the axis is stopped. It is equipped with a shaft seal to help limit the entry of coolant or airborne particles near the front bearing area. The motor uses winding designation e, and the rotor length index of 2 keeps the axial length compact while supporting continuous torque in space-restricted machine sections. This compact axial format is useful where several servo axes are mounted side by side on the same machine section.
