Product Description:
The AKM22C-ANM21-00 is a brushless synchronous servo motor from Kollmorgen, supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Its 58 mm frame and matching 58 mm IEC flange with accuracy class N allow direct mounting to compact gearboxes, while the smooth shaft simplifies coupling. Rotor length index 2 indicates the medium magnetic stack for this frame size, and the unit has the standard customization level for the series. As a closed-loop drive element, the motor delivers precise position and speed control for machinery axes in packaging, inspection, and assembly automation.
Under rated thermal conditions, the motor can sustain 0.84 N·m of continuous stall torque while drawing 1.39 A rms of continuous stall current. This operating point corresponds to winding designation C and a maximum DC bus voltage of 640 VDC, providing adequate headroom for modern 560 V inverters. Transient demands are supported by a 2.73 N·m peak torque when the drive supplies up to 5.6 A rms of peak current. The motor has a 0.61 N·m/A rms torque constant, allowing commanded current to produce a proportional mechanical output. A 24 V holding brake secures the shaft during a power loss. Dual Molex connectors on a 0.5 m lead provide separate power and feedback terminations.
The motor’s electrical time constants are influenced by its 19.98 Ω line-to-line resistance and 35.5 mH inductance, which guide current-loop tuning in the drive amplifier. A 39 V/krpm back-EMF constant indicates the generated voltage during regenerative operation and supports safe operation up to the permitted mechanical speed of 8000 rpm. Position data come from a Comcoder feedback system that integrates an EPC 15T single-turn optical encoder and delivers 1,024 lines per revolution, allowing fine position interpolation by the controller.
