The AKM62G-ANCNDA-00 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed as a rotary actuator for industrial automation, it delivers closed-loop position and velocity control for assembly robots, pick-and-place heads, and packaging axes. The motor pairs with matching Kollmorgen drives through standardized parameter sets, reducing setup time while providing consistent dynamic response. Its electromagnetic stack and compact housing provide high power density within a moderate machine footprint.
The housing measures 138 mm across the frame, and the flange follows the IEC pattern with accuracy N, allowing direct coupling to gearheads or machine plates without adapters. Two SpeedTec Ready connectors carry power, feedback, and protective earth connections. Their keyed layout supports fast, tool-free wiring during maintenance. Motion feedback is generated by an EnDat 2.1 encoder that issues digital position data at a resolution of 512/2048 lines per revolution, giving the drive controller fine interpolation for smooth low-speed motion. A rotor length index of 2 provides a medium-length magnetic core that balances continuous torque output against the motor’s overall mass.
This variant is supplied without a brake, so holding torque must be produced electrically or by an external mechanism when the axis is idle. The encoder uses a single-turn optical configuration with an ECN1113/1313 scanning head, eliminating the need for multi-turn battery support. A smooth shaft simplifies coupling to gearboxes and reduces runout at high speed, while winding designation G configures the stator copper for typical 400 V-class drives. Electrical holding can be maintained by an energized drive when operating conditions permit, while an external locking mechanism can secure loads after power is removed. The digital feedback system supplies absolute position within one mechanical revolution, allowing the controller to determine shaft position immediately after startup. This arrangement supports accurate position correction during low-speed movement and repeated indexing cycles without relying on a mechanical homing routine.
